Full Moon in Virgo – February 2019

It’s counter-intuitive but this Virgo full moon, all you have to go on is your intuition.

The ruler of this lunation is Mercury, which is tightly conjunct Neptune in Pisces. Mercury is logic. Neptune is imagination. This combination is like looking for the facts in a fairy tale; if you find them, you’ve missed the point.

In keeping with the bouyant outlook of Jupiter in Sagittarius, which is squaring Mercury and Neptune in Pisces, you think you can see the archer’s target. Unfortunately, Mercury’s sense of direction and manual dexterity is obscured by Neptune’s fog. Your arrow slips from your fingers.

To mix metaphors (which is perfect for this full moon), you can’t see the map, let alone the X marked on it. All you can do is feel your way forward and risk getting lost. Another option is to wait until the fog lifts, i.e. do nothing.

Doing nothing is a challenge for practical, problem-solving Virgo, particularly as Mars is encouraging action in the early degrees of Taurus. Virgo insists there must be a solution and, at the emotional peak of the full moon, is passionately attached to finding it.

You’ll look for the details and try to pinpoint the facts, but this kind of precision is not available right now. It’s like peering at a hazy, blurry, low-res image. The closer you zoom in, the more clarity you lose.

Recognising that your thinking is confused is the best outcome of this full moon.

Sit back and enjoy the illusions.

Let inspiration flood your mind, but don’t expect it to make any sense or be practical.

Just imagine.

You may like to try bringing the fantasies down to Earth. The trick is doing it without killing the magic. Create art, write poetry, dance, dream, float, meditate. Gently does it.

Don’t get suckered in by newsmakers, salespeople, viral marketing campaigns, etc. Tricksy types will be trying their luck, for sure.
